In Lama dei Peligni you can go to the Museo Naturalistico Archeologico (Archaeological and Natural Museum), which hosts the remains of the Uomo della Maiella (Maiella Man) (a skull found in a sand quarry in 1913 and dating back to 5,500 years before Christ), and reproductions of the Abruzzo chamois. A few examples of the species are on display in the entrance of the museum.
