The town of Casalbordino is located near Vasto between the rivers Osento and Sinello. The economy of the town is based mostly on farming (specifically fruit, wine and olive oil). But recently the Lido of Casalbordino has grown a lot, contributing financially to the town.
There are many hotels right on the coast and many camping sites, where germans flock every year between July and August. Near Casalbordino, there are many little villages or fractions of the town, such as Termine, Guarniera, Mandrelle, Tavoleto, Verdugia, Piana del Lago and last but not least Miracoli.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The name of the town comes from the count Roberto Bordinus that was ruling the town since the 9th century. The Sanctuary of Madonna dei Miracoli  is an important pilgrimage spot. Full loaded buses come almost everyday and unload the real religious followers of the “Miracle”, similar to the one in Lanciano.
