Civitaluparella is situated between the two valley Corvina and Lagariello. The village has been built on top of a cliff in order to protect themselves from invaders  and also to avoid flooding.

HISTORICAL FACTS
During the medieval times, it was customs to build that way. Civitaluparella was mentioned in official documents since the 12th century, but some archaeologist found some fossils that go back to the 6th century. In the 15th century, Civitaluparella found glory because it was the favourite  hiding spot of Antonio Caldora during his quarrels against Ferdinando of Aragona.
