HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Dogliola is a characteristic village, built on the side of a cliff, facing the Trigno river. There is not much history to be traced. The earliest origins are from the 12th century, it is mentioned when the castle of Dogliola was donated to Giovanni Abate of San Angelo in Cornacchiano.  The people of Dogliola did not appreciated this man and there was a town revolt against him. So with the help of the Benedectines friars based in Palmoli, they manage to put piece and order.
