Population: 760 Liscia is located in the vicinities of Vasto (about 25 kms.). It is a beautiful hilltop town near the Treste river. The name Liscia means smooth. It was given because from far away it looks like a smooth pebble. HISTORICAL FACTS The first mention of the town was in the 12th century when it became part of the county of Monteodoriso. Narrow streets and long stairways characterize the hamlet as the typical medieval. WHAT TO DO- Sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo has a very important religious meaning. Near the Sanctuary, there is a cave, with a little waterfall that is cherished by the most religious visitors. - Near Liscia, you can find the ruins of the Monastery of Saint Peter, built with stones and pebbles. Next to it there is a very large Christian cemetery.
