Monteodorisio is a small town in the vicinities of Vasto . It is slightly elevated and the town is recently getting rennovated and populated. It's one of the exceptions in Abruzzo. Usually small towns population statistics decrease, while this one is constantly growing. The reason for this is because properties around here are still affordable, clean air, and it is very close to large town such as Vasto. As a matter of fact, many Vasteses are moving to Monteodorisio.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The town was named after Odorisio, who was the feudal lord in the 1100s. The count of the Marsi, Odorisio had the first castle built. Nowadays, only a few walls are left, thanks to the deterioration and no maintanance during the centuries. The side towers are still erect and the city hall is considering rebuilding it.

Palazzo Suriani which is a Rennaisance style palace. The interior is full of orginal affrescos. It's located on top of the village.
Madonna delle Grazie which is a Sanctuary and it is located at the entrance of the village. There are many stories about the miracles of the Madonna. The Sanctuary is decorated in Art Noveau or Liberty style.
